One such client is Elle Marie Hair Studio, founded by Lorry Green and her mother, Colleen Buck, in 2006. What began as a single salon in Mill Creek, WA, has grown into a flourishing business with multiple locations, driven by a commitment to personal and professional development.
Lorry always dreamed big. After five years behind the chair as a hairstylist, she envisioned a salon where growth and opportunity were limitless. With this vision in mind, she and Colleen created Elle Marie Hair Studio, a salon that quickly became known not just for its services but for its nurturing culture. Here, stylists found a place to develop their skills, take on new roles, and build fulfilling careers.
As the salon’s reputation grew, so did its footprint. Locations in Lake Stevens, Lynnwood, and Woodinville followed, each one reflecting the same values of support, growth, and balance. Under Lorry and Colleen’s leadership, the business became a launchpad for stylists to explore roles in management, education, and strategic development, transforming Elle Marie into more than just a salon—it’s a thriving community.
However, the journey hasn’t been without challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic brought unforeseen obstacles that tested the resilience of businesses everywhere. Lorry and Colleen faced these challenges head-on, making critical decisions that not only ensured the salon’s survival but also laid the groundwork for its continued growth. In 2020, Colleen retired, passing the torch to Lorry, who took on the role of President. Hollie Wesoloski, who had been with the company since 2008, stepped up as Vice President and Co-Owner, bringing her own passion and experience to the leadership team.
Today, Elle Marie Hair Studio is stronger than ever. In December 2022, they celebrated the opening of their fifth location, and in early 2024, they relocated their Lynnwood location to a beautiful new space. These milestones are a testament to the adaptability and resilience of the Elle Marie team, who continue to thrive in a changing world while staying true to their core values.
