Jeff Parker, CPA is Director of CFO Advisory Services. He leads the HJ&S fractional CFO-to-Go services group and his principal job involves solving client’s accounting and financial reporting problems. His expertise in financial modeling, KPI measurement systems, planning and financial forecasting helps our closely held business clients sleep at night, knowing their banking relationships are secure, and reporting systems are accurate and reliable.
Within the financial institution sector of our practice, Jeff is central to our risk mitigation consulting services. In this role, he applies his data analytics background to assist with validation of credit loss methodologies, interest rate risk management and liquidity measurement systems. Jeff was one of the first employees hired by HJ&S back in 2013; where he primarily focused in the audit department and eventually serving as an HJ&S audit manager. Spreading his wings, Jeff left HJ&S for a time to further his career with a $1 billion credit union as Vice-President of accounting where he developed systems, processes and operational procedures needed to produce accurate and reliable management information daily.
One of Jeff’s favorite tools is Tableau, a program he expertly uses for in-depth data analysis and visualizations, helping our clients make informed, data-driven decisions. His ability to leverage such advanced tools has been a game-changer in providing clarity and insight into complex financial data.
Jeff’s academic background is equally impressive. He graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a minor in Analytical Finance. He further honed his accounting expertise through the University of Washington Foster School of Business Accounting Certification Program, which paved the way for his CPA licensure.
Outside of his professional life, Jeff resides in Yakima, WA, with his family. Much of his time is devoted to his two young daughters, who keep him on his toes. When he’s not busy with work or family, Jeff enjoys a range of outdoor activities that Yakima’s diverse weather permits, including basketball, golf, swimming, and skiing.
