Areas of Expertise
Kaylene focuses on tax planning and compliance for clients across multiple industries, with recent experience supporting startup and technology companies. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Gonzaga University, majoring in Accounting with a minor in History.
Prior to joining Opsahl Dawson, Kaylene spent 18 years at CBIZ Berntson Porter (formerly Berntson Porter), a Bellevue-based CPA firm, and also served as Controller at Northwest Asphalt Inc., where she oversaw all financial aspects of the company’s operations. She enjoys helping clients use the tax code strategically to support business growth and values mentoring and developing the next generation of professionals.
Outside of work, Kaylene enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and watching her kids play sports. On weekends, you’ll often find her embracing the Seattle weather with a good book on a rainy day.
