Scott comes from a family of accountants—both his father and sister are CPAs—so it’s no surprise he found his way into the profession. Born and raised in Tyler, Texas, he grew up with a deep love for sports, especially soccer, golf, and basketball. His passion led him to the University of Montevallo in Alabama, where he played collegiate soccer and helped lead the team to a conference championship and the university’s first appearance in a national tournament. After earning his degree in 2007, Scott began his career in public accounting and earned his CPA designation in 2012, followed by his business valuation accreditation in 2016. He specializes in income tax compliance for a diverse client base, including high-net-worth family groups and businesses in construction, real estate, and other industries. He also performs business valuations for estate and gift tax purposes, buy-sell agreements, and litigation. Scott is a member of the AICPA’s Forensic & Valuation Services Section. Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, two children, and their dog. Whether barbecuing, relaxing by the pool, or tackling DIY home and Jeep projects, he’s always hands-on. He’s an avid sports enthusiast, often found playing soccer, golf, basketball, or disc golf—and he actively supports and coaches his children’s teams.
