Swetha Mukkanti, CPA

Swetha is an Associate on Opsahl Dawson’s CAS team, supporting clients with U.S. accounting and taxation services. She brings a strong technical background along with experience across both U.S. and Indian accounting practices.

Swetha is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant, having cleared all four CPA exam sections in 2025 within a six-month timeframe, with licensure pending through the Montana State Board of Accountancy. She is also a Chartered Accountant, qualified through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from Indira Gandhi National Open University.

She completed three years of internship training at a Chartered Accountancy firm, followed by four years of post-qualification experience as a CA. Most recently, Swetha served as an Assistant Manager at HNA & Co LLP, a leading indirect tax firm in India, where she supported GST reviews, audits, advisory, and compliance engagements across industries including construction, education, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals.

Swetha enjoys working with numbers and breaking down complex scenarios into practical, well-structured solutions. She values collaborative environments where teams learn from one another and grow together. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing badminton, and relaxing with a good movie or web series.
