Tina Starks

Tina supports Opsahl Dawson's Tax team and brings a unique background spanning education, bookkeeping, and small business operations. She attended Washington State University Vancouver and earned a Master in Teaching degree.

Prior to joining Opsahl Dawson, Tina worked as an educator, including teaching at a secondary school in Madrid, Spain. She also worked as a bookkeeper for a custom sign company, where her responsibilities ranged from data entry and accounting functions to supporting hands-on projects throughout the business. Her diverse experiences have helped her develop a strong curiosity, adaptability, and passion for learning.

Tina enjoys the opportunity to learn from both clients and colleagues and values finding new ways to understand complex concepts and share knowledge with others. Her background in education has shaped her collaborative approach and ability to build meaningful connections.

Outside of work, Tina enjoys social partner dancing, including ballroom, Latin, and swing, and is always eager to learn a new style. She also loves exploring the outdoors and discovering new hiking adventures, especially caves. A fun fact—while attending college, Tina spent her summers working on a hay farm and was known for being the first and last person on the field, despite being the shortest person on the crew.
